Groundbreaking!!!

It's been a two years since we first hatched a plan to create a bar in Porto... one year since we bought the house.   At times, the planning/approval phase seemed endless, but that was nothing compared to the selection and negotiation for a general contractor!  Finally, that is all behind us.  Today, we had a small ceremony to officially break ground.

From this point forward, something is going to be built.  Terraplana is coming into the world.  It's exciting, and a bit scary, but we still believe in the original goal, and nothing in the process has been so difficult as waiting to see the result.

Construction is estimated to take less than 8 months.  Of course we will be following the process closely.  There is plenty to keep us busy during construction;  we still have a lot of work to equip and furnish the bar, and some of that can begin now, we are also designing the logo, media and webpage.

Today is a milestone, so we celebrate a little.  Tomorrow, back to work!
